It was good to be back in our spiritual home of rock for the first time in 2015. Northcote Records is such a great venue for good live music and the crowd are always so up for it, it really makes us realise why we do what we do. Equally, I do not know of many bars where the staff are so friendly and seem to be having such a good time.
That said, it's been a while since we played in such a small area and me, Gab and Ace were constantly bashing into each other. Let's be honest, rock needs it's space! And we all move around like crazy people.
We debuted our Michael Jackson medley. There has been some talk amongst us as to what would work and what wouldn't, but you never really know until you get in front of a crowd and see their reaction. The songs before may have been a bit too heavy, but I think we won the crowd over with a bit of MJ (did we?) We may refine the medley some more, but for now it seems to work.
Top moment for me was performing The Voice on the weekend of Australia Day. Everybody knows the density of Aussies in SW London and this was the perfect opportunity to play a great song. The last chorus prompted me to jump on the tables and see a sea of people singing it back. I love my job!!
Similar set for Venn Street this Friday! Can't wait!
As always - any shots you have from any of our gigs, please do #permageddon we love seeing your pics.
