It's been all about Clapham, this half of the year. We were back on the Common, at Venn Street Records on Friday. Once again, due to the Picturehouse next door, we didn't start until 11pm and the party was in full swing!
With Cem still sunning it in the Caribbean, we had our good friend and Permageddon regular, Steve Matthews on drums.

An amusing Spinal Tap moment in Boys of Summer, when Bones' keyboard decided to gradually raise pitch in the middle of a solo, seemingly on it's own. With the whole band staring at him and his very confused face, we finally found the culprit to be a lady's handbag, gently resting on the pitch-bender...the pitfalls of playing a very small venue, in close proximity to the rather merry audience! Hopefully the only handbag solo in the history of Permageddon. Unfortunately, Bones then nearly lost his entire keyboard when someone decided to use one end to prop their drunken-self up on...it's not a table, it's not attached to the stand, and if you're heading downwards...it will come down with you!
A small amp-mishap, saw us play an extended version of Walking in Memphis, to give Gab time to decipher the issue...which we were more than happy to do and the audience seemed to enjoy it.
As ever...much love for Venn Street Records, it's amazing crowd and their fully committed power-fists!
This week we are extending our set...exciting! And we are back The Gallery, Hendon on Saturday, with the wonderful Cem behind the drums. Join us then!
