We've left it a while - sorry about that. It's certainly not because we've been doing nothing...the complete opposite! Since I last wrote we have played a small, but lovely wedding for Mr and Mrs Nick Martin, at the beautiful Turkey Mill, in Kent. The fireworks display was off the scale.
We played an awesome gig at Venn Street Records, followed the next week by one at Northcote Records - which we had missed! We added a load of new songs to our set and we played in the middle of a field for Catherine Wrey's post-wedding celebrations - where Gab turned up in disguise...as 80's George Michael...
Last week we had another wonderful double-bill at the River Rooms - with our heavy rock set on the Friday and full 80s cheese on the Saturday...
Yesterday we rocked out Kelly's Bar (formally The Gallery) in Hendon and today we slept!!
All of this has taken us near and far. Our trip to Kent took 3.5 hours, our trip to Basingstoke took 3 hours and our trip to Stourbridge took 4 hours! Anyone who's ever been in a car with Gab will know that we don't hang around, or hug the curb - but it's becoming harder and harder to get anywhere in the UK! Luckily we give ourselves enough time to get to places, but I can't help feeling that maybe Axel Rose was just stuck in traffic all those times! Think we need to get one of these:
Admittedly it wont help us in traffic - but at least we can perform enroute!
Next week are playing the Wargrave Festival for their summer ball! We'll make sure we leave at 7am...should be rocking!!
